Top 7 Products for Hair Loss
In honor of hair loss awareness month, I’ve been testing out products to achieve better hair growth results. Below are 7 products to recommend of those products tested.
With recent research on shampoo frequency and the effects of less shampooing on your scalp and hair follicle health, my routine has changed as well. Instead of shampooing my hair 2-3 times a week, I shampoo every other day to keep my scalp clean and healthy, and hair follicles free of excess oil and build up to promote hair growth.
Advanced Trichology Shampoo

This shampoo has more of a gel consistency and it took me a few tries to feel like my hair was clean, but I do really like this shampoo as a scalp cleanse and to calm inflammation.
DHT Blocker Supplement

Approved by the American Hair Loss Association, this formulation includes 26 essential vitamins and herbs for optimal hair growth, as well as supports skin, thyroid and liver detox.
Obagi Nu Cil eye brow serum
https://bestbeautyhacks.com/obagibrowserum
Full disclaimer: This brow growth serum does contain prostaglandins. The concern with prostaglandins in a brow serum is the orbital fat loss, but with the brow being on or above the orbital bone, the risk seems fairly low. I’ve been testing this product for 4 months and haven’t noticed any adverse effects, but it is my top pick for brow regrowth.
Lash Serums
It is extremely important (IMHO) to not use a lash serum with prostaglandins for the many serious side effects. This doesn’t leave you many options. These are the 2 products that I’ve found that work, with the AnteAge the preferred option:

This product contains 12 stem cell growth factor cytokines proven to increase lash growth, as well as several peptides. This is a more expensive option, but a very high quality formulation.

Reviv Lash and Brow Stimulating Serum. While this product doesn’t have the growth factor cytokines, it does contain peptides which are also shown to improve lash growth. This product tends to be less expensive as well.
Higher Dose LED cap
Red Light Hat (higherdose.com)
This is a very new product, and I’m so excited for the results! I’ve researched LED for hair growth for several years, and this product uses 650nm red light wavelength which is the precise wavelength for optimal hair growth. It’s easy to use with only 10 minutes a day, convenient as it’s battery operated, and so stylish (baseball cap) you can even do a treatment on the go.
Joovv Go
This is a great LED therapy as well, with optimal wavelength. It’s also portable and can be used anywhere on your body for additional benefits. I’ve used the Joovv Go for so many years on so many things. Not only hair and skin, but tendon and ligament recovery as well as nerve damage from surgery. I won’t be without this device.
